This super-exclusive Mercedes-AMG might be the ultimate F1 fan car
Mercedes has unveiled a Formula 1-inspired version of its AMG GT 63 Pro, known as the Motorsport Collectors Edition. This exclusive model is limited to just 200 units worldwide. The design of this special edition mirrors that of Mercedes's W14 and W15 F1 cars from the 2023 and 2024 seasons, respectively.
It features a unique livery and design elements
The Motorsport Collectors Edition is distinguished by its Obsidian Black metallic paint finish, hand-painted Mercedes stars, and contrasting stripes in Petronas's corporate aqua blue color. This distinctive blue is also featured on the front and rear splitters, side skirts, shoulder line, around the 21-inch wheels as well as on the brake calipers. The car comes with the AMG Night Package that includes a blacked-out treatment for the grille and Mercedes star badges.
The car comes with several premium features
The Motorsport Collectors Edition is equipped with a panoramic glass roof and a fixed rear spoiler, which are optional extras on the standard GT. It rides on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R Cup tires, measuring 295/30 ZR21 at the front and 305/30 ZR21 at the rear. Inside, seats are finished in black nappa leather and microfiber cloth with stitching in aqua blue, while AMG door-sill is coated in black and illuminated in aqua blue.
It is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine
The Motorsport Collectors Edition is powered by the same 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine as the standard GT 63 Pro 4MATIC+ that delivers an output of 612hp. Mercedes has also introduced some 'aerodynamic fine-tuning' with reduced lift and more powerful cooling for enhanced driving dynamics in this special edition model. Pricing details for the AMG GT 63 Pro Motorsport Collectors Edition are yet to be announced by Mercedes. It is likely to be priced upwards of $150,00.
