Everything we know about Mercedes-AMG's 2025 GT 63S E Performance
German automaker Mercedes-AMG has recently unveiled its fastest-accelerating production car yet, the 2025 GT63 S E Performance. This two-door coupe is the latest addition to Mercedes-Benz's high-performance lineup. The 'E Performance' label signifies the brand's hybrid power technology. The new GT flagship model features a twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V8 engine and an electric motor, delivering a combined 805hp of power.
What about its performance?
The GT63 S E Performance's petrol engine alone contributes 603hp of power. However, the standout feature is the combined torque of 1,419Nm, when both the petrol mill and electric motor work in unison. This power allows the car to reach 97km/h in just 2.7 seconds, outpacing many supercars. Despite being a plug-in hybrid, this model prioritizes performance over efficiency.
Advanced features and design
The GT63 S E Performance is equipped with a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission, and Mercedes-AMG's 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system. The electric motor typically powers only the rear axle, but power can be shifted forward if slip is detected. Standard features include rear-axle steering, AMG Active Ride Control suspension with roll stabilization, and carbon ceramic brakes. The exterior design includes special badging on the trunk lid and a door concealing a charging port on the rear fascia.
What about its availability?
The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance two-door coupe is set to be released in late 2024. The price for this high-performance vehicle has not been disclosed yet and will be revealed as we approach its release date. The car's cockpit remains standard-issue Mercedes-AMG, maintaining the brand's signature luxury and comfort, while introducing its fastest-accelerating model to date.
