Maserati launches 2nd-generation GranTurismo in India at ₹3 crore
Italian luxury carmaker Maserati has introduced the second generation of its iconic GranTurismo in India. The new model is available in two variants: Modena and Trofeo, priced at ₹2.72 crore and ₹2.90 crore (ex-showroom), respectively. Both versions are powered by a 3.0-liter, V6 twin-turbo petrol engine, with different performance levels and unique aesthetic features distinguishing them from each other.
A look at the Modena
The more affordable Modena variant of the GranTurismo is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine that delivers 490hp and 600Nm of torque. This model can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds, according to Maserati. Standard features on both models include 20-inch front and 21-inch rear alloy rims. Other standard equipment comprises a 12.2-inch digital display behind the steering wheel, a 12.3-inch central infotainment panel, and an 8.8-inch touchscreen beneath it for the climate controls.
What about Trofeo?
The GranTurismo Trofeo, a more potent version of the Modena, boasts an engine output of 550hp and 650Nm. This model can reach speeds from 0-100km/h in a swift 3.5 seconds. The Trofeo also features all-wheel drive (AWD) as standard, aggressive bumpers, new-design alloy wheels, various carbon fiber elements on the exterior, and sportier highlights in the cabin to set it apart from its sibling.
A look at its rivals
In the Indian market, the Maserati GranTurismo will face competition from other luxury sports cars like the Bentley Continental GT, Ferrari Roma, Aston Martin Vantage, Porsche 911, Audi RS e-tron GT, and Porsche Taycan.
