Maruti Suzuki to launch eVX electric SUV in 2025
What's the story
Maruti Suzuki has announced plans to release its midsize electric SUV, the eVX, in early 2025.
The eVX concept was first introduced at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, and made its global debut at the 2023 Auto Expo.
A more polished version was later showcased at the Japan Mobility Show within the same year.
Currently, Maruti Suzuki is extensively testing eVX prototypes as part of its pre-launch preparations.

The Maruti Suzuki eVX is poised to enter a fiercely competitive market, with rivals including the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv, Citroën Basalt EV, Mahindra XUV400, and MG ZS EV.
Despite the competition, Maruti Suzuki is optimistic about its new offering.

Maruti Suzuki eVX: At a glance
The Maruti Suzuki eVX will offer a single-pane sunroof, a 360-degree-view camera system, ADAS, connected features, and a cooled glovebox.
The vehicle will be equipped with an all-LED lighting system, auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror, chrome-finished interior door handles, and six airbags.
A rotary drive mode selector will also be included in the design.
The eVX is based on a modified version of Toyota's 27PL skateboard architecture.

Inside the cabin
The interior design of the eVX marks a significant departure from existing Maruti Suzuki models.
The vehicle will feature a floating-style touchscreen infotainment panel measuring between 10-12-inch, a digital instrument console, and a head-up display.
Other amenities include wireless smartphone charging, dual-zone auto climate control, ambient lighting, power-adjustable seats for both driver and front passenger, and an all-new two-spoke steering wheel.
Performance
What about its powertrain?
The eVX is expected to offer two battery pack options: 40kWh and 60kWh.
The larger battery pack is anticipated to provide a driving range of up to 550km on a single charge.
The car will support fast charging and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capabilities, permitting it to power other devices.
Additionally, the eVX will offer both single and dual electric motor configurations.
