Maruti Suzuki introduces a new diesel-based MPV for fleet buyers
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has launched a diesel-based variant of its Ertiga Tour M multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in the country. Available only for commercial fleet buyers and taxi aggregators, the latest model costs Rs. 9.81 lakh. Notably, the car is based on Maruti Suzuki's Ertiga VXi trim and is already available in petrol and CNG engine options. Here's all about it.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Tour M: At a glance
The Ertiga Tour M comes with a long wheelbase of 2,740mm and features a chrome-finished grille, trapezoidal air-intake, and blacked-out B-pillars. The car also gets electronically adjustable ORVMs, sleek headlamps, body-colored door handles as well as bumpers, and 15-inch alloy wheels. Also, it has a fuel tank capacity of 45 liters and a boot space of 209 liters.
Power and performance
Under the hood, the Ertiga Tour M packs a 1.5 liter, four cylinder, DDiS engine which is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 94bhp of power and 225Nm of peak torque. Moreover, it promises an ARAI-certified mileage of 24.2kmpl.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the Ertiga Tour M sports a 7-seater cabin with fabric upholstery, height adjustable driver seat, rear AC vents, power windows, and a multifunctional steering wheel. The car houses a 2-DIN audio system which supports USB, AUX, and Bluetooth connectivity. Talking about safety features, it comes equipped with dual-front airbags, ABS, EBD, and rear parking sensors.

As for the pricing, the diesel-based Ertiga Tour M costs Rs. 9.81 lakh and will be available only for commercial buyers. At this price point, it goes up against rivals like Mahindra Marazzo and Renault Lodgy.
