Maruti Suzuki Swift becomes costlier by up to ₹39,000
Maruti Suzuki has announced a price increase for its popular Swift hatchback. The surge ranges from ₹15,000 to ₹39,000, depending on the specific variant. This price revision comes just before the highly anticipated launch of the next-generation Swift in India. The ZXI+ variant of the Maruti Swift has seen the most significant price hike of ₹39,000 for its manual version.
Price revision details for various Swift variants
The VXI, VXI AMT, and VXI CNG variants of the Swift have seen a price increment of ₹15,000. The base variant's starting price has been revised upwards to ₹6.24 lakh from its previous price of ₹5.99 lakh. Other variants like ZXI and ZXI AMT have experienced a price rise by ₹25,000. Despite these pricing changes, no alterations have been made to the visual or mechanical aspects of the Swift. It runs on a 1.2-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine that generates 90hp/113Nm.
Anticipation builds for next-generation Maruti Swift
The forthcoming Swift is one of Maruti's most eagerly awaited launches in 2024. It will be succeeded by the brand-new Dzire compact sedan later this year. The new Maruti Swift, codenamed YED, will feature a fresh yet familiar design, an updated interior, and possibly an all-new 1.2-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine. The pricing details for the next-gen Swift are yet to be announced.
