New Maruti Swift's launch in May, unofficial bookings now open

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch the fourth-generation Swift in India, with an expected launch in May.
According to CarWale, select dealers have started accepting unofficial pre-bookings for the upcoming hatchback.
The booking amount has been set at ₹11,000.
The new Swift is expected to continue with its current variant lineup, which includes LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+ models.

2024 Swift to feature fresh design and enhanced features
The 2024 Swift will showcase a fresh look with redesigned front and rear bumpers, a new grille design, LED headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs, and LED taillights.
It will also sport new alloy wheels, a rear wiper and washer, as well as a shark-fin antenna.
Additionally, the placement of rear door handles will shift from the C-pillar to the doors in this upcoming model.
The interior of the new Swift will have a Baleno-like climate control unit and infotainment system.
Engine details
Uncertainty surrounds engine specifications for 2024 Swift
While the global version of the Swift comes with a new 1.2-liter Z12E petrol engine, it's still uncertain whether Maruti will introduce this engine in India or stick with the current 1.2-liter K12C motor.
The present Swift model features a 1.2-liter K-Series Dual-Jet Dual-VVT engine that delivers 90hp and 113Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT.
