Mahindra TUV300-based Bolero Neo in the works; details revealed
Mahindra is working on a new variant for its Bolero SUV, called the Bolero Neo. It is tipped to be based on the sub-4m TUV300. According to the reports, the Bolero Neo will borrow design clues from both the Bolero and TUV300 while offering an updated cabin. Under the hood, it will pack a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Mahindra Bolero Neo: At a glance
The Mahindra Bolero Neo will be built on the traditional ladder chassis, featuring a fresh design with a Bolero-like clamshell bonnet, a blacked-out grille, and a wide air dam. For lighting, it is expected to house adjustable LED headlights. On the sides, the SUV will be flanked by roof rails, body-colored ORVMs as well as B-pillars, and flared wheel arches.
Power and performance
Under the hood, the Mahindra Bolero Neo will be powered by a BS6-compliant 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder diesel engine that produces 75hp of maximum power and 210Nm of peak torque. The motor will be mated to a manual gearbox.
A peek inside the cabin
Not much is known about the interiors of the Mahindra Bolero Neo. However, it is likely to offer a spacious 7-seater cabin with fabric upholstery, a dual-tone dashboard, power windows, a touchscreen infotainment console, and rear parking sensors. It will house an updated center console, front speakers, and safety provisions like dual airbags, seat belt warning, an engine immobilizer, and crash sensors.
