LEGO's replica of Ferrari F1 car contains astonishing 562,000 bricks
What's the story
LEGO has successfully built a life-sized replica of Ferrari's Formula 1 car, the SF-24.
The amazing replica was built using a staggering 562,000 bricks.
The project was spearheaded by Riccardo Zangelmi, Italy's only LEGO Certified Professional, and required painstaking attention to detail over a long time.
It took 100 hours of design work and over 1,200 hours of hands-on assembly.
Product launch
A marketing strategy for new product
The life-sized LEGO Ferrari SF-24 is not only a marvel of craftsmanship but also a strategic marketing move. It was created to generate excitement for the upcoming launch of a dedicated SF-24 LEGO set.
This new product is a smaller 1:8 scale model made up of 1,361 bricks and will be available for purchase from March 1, both online and in stores.
Miniature features
LEGO's smaller SF-24 model: A detailed miniature replica
Despite being smaller, the 1:8 scale LEGO SF-24 model is a true representation of Ferrari's Formula 1 car.
It comes with a two-speed gearbox, a V6 engine with rotating MGU-H, an adjustable rear wing, and steerable wheels.
The only thing that is missing from this detailed miniature car is the driver.
Partnership history
LEGO and Ferrari: A long-standing collaboration

Over the years, the collaboration has produced several dedicated sets including models of Daytona SP3, F40, 512 million among others.
The life-sized LEGO Ferrari SF-24 will be on display at the LEGO store in Milan, Italy.
