Lamborghini unveils a powerful concept hypercar for "virtual driving"
Unlike most Lamborghini cars, the newly unveiled V12 Vision GT hypercar can be driven around, but you can't buy it. No, it is not because of the price tag, but because it has been created for virtual driving. The Vision GT is basically a concept hypercar, which can only be driven virtually in the Gran Turismo Sport game, spring 2020 onwards. Take a look!
Lamborghini V12 Vision GT Concept: At a glance
Right of the bat, the V12 Vision GT's aesthetics remind you of the Lamborghini Egoista, but it has a more fighter jet-like design. The sleek Y-shaped headlamps and taillights, hexagonal wheels and windows, sharp-looking sculpted lines across the body, and the extended fenders define its head-turning yet aerodynamic design. And, there's only one seat that can be accessed by popping up the canopy roof.
Inside the cabin
Evidently, the V12 Vision GT has been designed to provide the ultimate virtual driving experience for young fans and gamers. The main driving controls are located within the F1-style steering wheel, and all the information is neatly projected on the windscreen in front of the driver. Indeed, it has a futuristic design and uninhibited power on offer. Are we in 2100, already?
Under the hood
The Lamborghini V12 Vision Gran Turismo, designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile in Sant'Agata Bolognese, packs a hybrid 819hp powertrain that we saw on the recently unveiled Sián FKP 37. However, all this power will be available in the virtual world.
It has been designed for young generation and auto enthusiasts
"Lamborghini is a very young brand, and this is why we are here today to present our newest virtual vision in the form of a real model. "Its futuristic and cool design can be enjoyed by the young generation of racing game and super sports car enthusiasts," said Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.
