Lamborghini Urus SE plug-in hybrid SUV goes official: Check features
Lamborghini has unveiled its latest creation, the Urus SE, a hybrid version of its best-selling model, at the 2024 Beijing Motor Show. The new plug-in hybrid SUV retains the twin-turbo, 4.0-liter, V8 engine of its predecessor, but introduces an electric motor. This addition allows for increased power and speed, with the electric motor generating an impressive 189hp and 483Nm of torque.
It sprints from 0-100km/h in just 3.4 seconds
The Urus SE's petrol engine boasts a robust 612hp and 800Nm, contributing to a total system output of 789hp at 6,000rpm and an impressive 950.4Nm from 1,750rpm. The hybrid SUV outperforms its predecessor, the Urus S, reaching speeds of 100km/h in just 3.4 seconds. However, it's worth noting that the Performante remains the fastest model in the Urus lineup with a time of just 3.3 seconds.
It offers more than 60km of pure electric driving range
The new Urus SE can hit 200km/h in 11.4 seconds, outpacing both the petrol-only version and even the Urus Performante, by a fraction of a second. At full throttle, it can reach a top speed of 312.2km/h. The hybrid SUV is packed with a 25.7-kWh Lithium-ion battery located beneath the cargo floor, offering over 60km of pure electric driving range. In EV mode, it can reach up to 130.3km/h, before automatically switching to the V8 engine.
Urus SE has 80% less emissions compared to non-hybrid version
Lamborghini reports that the Urus SE has significantly reduced emissions, achieving an impressive 80% reduction compared to its non-hybrid counterpart. This achievement underscores Lamborghini's commitment to producing high-performance vehicles with a reduced environmental impact. The new model's design includes updated matrix LED headlights, and a front section subtly redesigned with elements borrowed from the Revuelto supercar.
