KTM Duke 125 and RC 125 become expensive in India
KTM India has increased the prices of its entry-level Duke 125 and RC 125 motorcycles in India. According to Autocar, the company has revised the prices of both the bikes in order to increase the dealers' margin. With the price revision, the Duke 125 has become costlier by Rs. 2,248 while the RC 125 got a price hike of Rs. 1,537. Here's our roundup.
First, a look at the new prices
With this price hike, the KTM Duke 125 is now available at Rs. 1.32 lakh while its fully-faired sibling, the KTM RC 125, now costs Rs. 1.48 lakh in the country.
Here's a look at both the motorcycles
Both the KTM Duke 125 and RC 125 sit on the same steel trellis frame. The Duke 125 features a naked styled look while the RC 125 comes with a fully-faired design. Both motorcycles sport a dual-tone paint job, stepped up seat, body-colored alloy wheels, and blacked-out mirrors. Further, both the bikes house an all-LED lighting setup for headlamp, turn indicators, and taillight.
Power and performance
Both the KTM Duke 125 and RC 125 are powered by the same 124.7cc liquid-cooled single cylinder engine which is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 14.5PS of maximum power and 12Nm of peak torque.
Finally, what about safety and suspension setup?
On the safety front, the KTM Duke 125 and RC 125 come equipped with disc brakes on both wheels along with single-channel ABS as standard. Both the KTM motorcycles also house conventional telescopic fork suspension on the front and a monoshock unit on the rear to handle the suspension duties.
