KTM 390 Adventure to debut today: What to expect?
KTM is all set to unveil its off-road friendly motorcycle, the 390 Adventure, at 2019 EICMA Motorcycle Show today. So far, the bike has been spotted multiple times and we have a fair idea of how it would look like. Separately, Autocar has also revealed that the adventure tourer would grace our shores in December 2019 at India Bike Week. Here's our roundup.
First, how it will look like?
Going by the spy shots, the 390 Adventure will sport a naked street design with a split-headlamp unit, a tall windshield, and a fully-digital instrument console. The motorcycle will come with a raised seat, high ground clearance, and dual side panniers as well as a top box to store luggage. It is likely to be offered in orange and white color options.
Power and performance
The KTM 390 Adventure will reportedly share its engine with KTM 390 Duke. However, the motor will be updated to meet latest emission norms and is likely to come with a different state of tune to make it ideal for off-roading. Notably, KTM 390 Duke's motor churns out 43.5PS of maximum power and 37Nm of peak torque.
KTM 390 Adventure: On the road
In the safety department, KTM 390 Adventure is likely to come equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels along with dual-channel ABS to avoid skidding while braking. To handle suspension duties, the off-road tourer is expected to house upside-down forks on the front and a monoshock suspension on the rear.
And, what about pricing?
As of now, there is no official word on the pricing of KTM 390 Adventure. However, according to reports, it is likely to cost somewhere around Rs. 3 lakh. Further, the motorcycle is slated to launch in India in December.
