Kia EV4, with 630km range, arrives in sedan, hatchback variants
What's the story
Kia has officially unveiled the production version of its new electric vehicle, the EV4, at the 2025 Kia EV Day in Tarragona, Spain.
The model is based on the EV4 concept that was first showcased in October 2023 and is built on Kia's E-GMP platform.
The car will be available in both sedan and hatchback variants with two battery pack options.
The EV4 launches alongside the EV2 concept, the company's smallest electric car yet.
Design details
Design and market launch
The EV4's design is based on Kia's new 'Opposites United' philosophy, which takes inspiration from the contrasts of nature and humanity.
The sedan and hatchback versions sport the same front-end design with vertically oriented headlamps and DRLs on either side.
Both models have soft body lines, wide sculpted haunches, and cladding around the wheel arches.
The EV4 will hit the Korean market in March 2025, followed by a European launch later that year.

Inside the Kia EV4
The interior of the EV4 features a minimalist layout, just like other Kia products.
The dashboard is dominated by a freestanding panoramic display with three screens—two 12.3-inch displays and a smaller 5.3-inch screen for climate control.
The car also gets a 12-inch head-up display and infotainment screen with in-car content streaming and connectivity services like YouTube, Disney+, Netflix, games, and karaoke.
An optional 8-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system is also available.
Safety features
Advanced driver assistance systems
The EV4 also comes with an advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite.
It features Driver Attention Warning, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist 2, Lane Following Assist 2, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, and Remote Parking Assist Entry.
These safety measures are designed to improve the driving experience and keep the passengers safe in different road conditions.

Battery options and performance
The EV4 comes with two battery pack options - 58.3kWh and 81.4kWh - for both sedan and hatchback.
The car is driven by a 150kW electric motor on the front axle, allowing it to go from 0-100km/h in just 7.7 seconds with the smaller pack, and 7.4 seconds with the bigger one.
