Kia Clavis SUV to offer ADAS, panoramic sunroof
Kia's forthcoming compact SUV, the Clavis, has been spotted undergoing testing in India. This new model is set to bridge the gap between the sub-four-meter Sonet SUV and the Seltos midsize SUV in Kia's Indian lineup. Recent spy images have revealed several design elements and features of this promising vehicle. Spy photos suggest the SUV will have ADAS and front parking sensors, along with other expected features such as six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and rear disc brakes.
Clavis will sport a panoramic sunroof and all-LED lighting
The Clavis is expected to offer a range of comfort and convenience features. Recent images have shown a panoramic sunroof, roof rails, and all-LED lighting with vertically-positioned LED DRLs. The interior is likely to feature a Seltos-like digital instrument display that flows into a large infotainment touchscreen; both screens are anticipated to be 10.25-inch units. Additionally, diamond-cut alloy wheels are expected to be 16-inch units fitted with MRF tires.
High-end Clavis models to offer ventilated seats, Bose audio system
High-end models of the Clavis are likely to offer a host of luxury features. These include ventilated and powered front seats, drive modes, traction modes, a climate control system, leatherette upholstery, and a Bose audio system. The Clavis will provide both petrol and electric powertrain options, with the electric version expected to join the line-up about six months after the internal combustion engine (ICE) version. All versions will be front-wheel drive models.
