Kawasaki India to soon launch limited-run Ninja ZX-4RR sports bike
Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki has teased the imminent launch of its limited edition Ninja ZX-4RR on social media. The bike will be introduced in the Indian market as a completely built unit (CBU), following the same approach as its predecessor, the Ninja ZX-4R. The company's launch timeline indicates that this new model will be available for purchase in India within a few weeks.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR: Enhanced features and specifications
The Indian version of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR is expected to feature the KRT Edition paint scheme, as hinted in the teaser. The additional 'R' in its name indicates upgraded features including a preload-adjustable 37mm inverted Showa SFF-BP fork, Showa BFRC Lite rear shock, and a bi-directional quickshifter. The bike will retain specifications identical to its predecessor, such as a 399cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine and an unchanged curb weight of 189kg.
Pricing and market position of Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR
The current price for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is ₹8,49,000 (ex-showroom, India). Given the enhanced features of the ZX-4RR, it is expected to command a premium of approximately ₹50,000 over the ZX-4R. Both bikes hold a unique position in their category with no direct competition. For those willing to invest more, they can opt for the advanced Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.
