Jeep Wrangler Rubicon SUV launched at Rs. 69 lakh
Jeep India has launched its five-seater SUV, the Wrangler Rubicon, in the country. The car is priced at Rs. 68.94 lakh and it has been brought to our shores via the completely built unit (CBU) route. Notably, the company will commence the deliveries of the off-roader from March 15 onwards. Here's our roundup.
A look at the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon features iconic retro styling cues with a vertical-slat grille, square-ish wheel arches as well as windows, and rounded headlamps. The car comes with a detachable roof and houses mud-terrain alloy wheels wrapped in off-road friendly tubeless tires. Furthermore, it gets all-LED fitments for headlights, DRLs, fog lamps, and taillights.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon offers a five-seater cabin with power-adjustable leather seats, rounded AC vents, and a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel. The car also houses a centrally aligned touchscreen infotainment system enabled with voice control, Bluetooth, and connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For safety, it gets driver and passenger airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rearview camera with parking sensors.
Power and performance
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is powered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine that comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all the wheels. The car promises a mileage of up to 12.1kmpl and is capable of producing 268bhp of maximum power at 5,250rpm and 400Nm of peak torque at 3,000rpm.
