Jeep India teases refreshed Compass Night Eagle edition; launch imminent
Jeep is preparing to launch an updated version of the Compass Night Eagle edition in India. A new teaser reveals the upcoming model with get aesthetic improvements while maintaining the same mechanical specifications. The SUV will still be powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine. The announcement comes after Jeep's overhaul of its Compass range last year, which included price cuts on certain models.
Details of Compass Night Eagle edition unveiled
The previous iteration of the Compass Night Eagle featured glossy black exterior accents, a black logo, and a black-painted roof. These were complemented by 18-inch alloy wheels in black. It is anticipated that Jeep will introduce a new design of black-finished alloy wheels for the 2024 model year. Interior modifications were also part of the last update, with an all-black theme likely to continue in the 2024 Compass Night Eagle variant.
Engine and transmission specifications revealed
The 2024 Compass Night Eagle will continue to use the existing 2.0-liter diesel engine, capable of delivering a maximum power of 168hp at 3,750rpm and peak torque output of 350Nm at 1,750-2,500rpm. The transmission options are expected to include both a 6-speed manual unit and a 9-speed torque converter automatic option. Both the 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrain options will be available to buyers.
Feature and pricing positioning of Compass Night Eagle edition
The forthcoming Compass Night Eagle is expected to be positioned between the Longitude and Limited models in terms of features and pricing. It will sport a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A 7.0-inch MID featuring analog dials will also be on offer. Other amenities will include a multi-function steering wheel, keyless entry, push-button start/stop system, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, and more.
