Jawa Perak to be launched in India on November 15
Jawa Perak, which was unveiled alongside standard Jawa and Jawa 42 models last year, is all set to be launched in India on November 15. The company, Jawa Motorcycles has sent out invites for the first anniversary celebration of the brand after making a comeback last year. The Czech automaker is expected to introduce the retro-styled bobber at the anniversary event itself. Here's more.
Jawa Perak: At a glance
The Jawa Perak comes with an old-school design featuring an aggressive bobber look with low-set handlebars, matte finish and a single type seat. The retro appearance of the motorcycle is further accentuated by rounded headlamp and indicators, handlebar-mounted mirrors, exposed engine kit, and spoked wheels. Apart from that, it houses a digital-analog instrument cluster and has a fuel tank capacity of 14 liters.
Power and performance
The Jawa Perak is fueled by a more powerful 334cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which is capable of producing 30PS of power and 31Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties on the motorcycle are handled by a six-speed manual gearbox.
Jawa Perak: On the road
The Jawa Perak comes equipped with disc brakes on both wheels along with dual-channel ABS for improved braking efficiency. The motorcycle houses telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock unit on the rear as against dual-shock absorbers housed on Jawa and Jawa 42 models. Apart from that, the Perak gets premium Pirelli tires in comparison to the MRF rubber used on other Jawa models.
And, what about pricing?
Last year, Jawa had announced that the Perak would cost Rs. 1.89 lakh in India. However, it is still unclear if the company would launch the motorcycle with a new price tag or stick to the old one.
