JAWA announces 'Golden Stripes' offer for JAWA, Forty Two motorcycles
JAWA has announced a 'Golden Stripes' offer for the owners of JAWA and Forty Two bikes in India. As part of the offer, which is valid only on vehicles purchased in March 2021, buyers can add alloy wheels, tubeless tires, and bar-end mirrors to their motorcycles at a discounted price of Rs. 7,999. Without the offer, these accessories cost around Rs. 14,500.
The bikes sport a halogen headlamp
The JAWA and Forty Two sit on a double-cradle frame. They feature a sloping fuel tank, a flat-type seat, a lengthy exhaust, and rounded mirrors. They pack a digital-analog instrument console, a halogen headlamp, a bulb taillight, and ride on wire-spoke wheels as standard. They have a kerb weight of 172kg and a fuel capacity of 14-liter.
The bikes run on a BS6-compliant 293cc engine
The JAWA and Forty Two bikes are fueled by a BS6-compliant 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 27hp of maximum power and 27.02Nm of peak torque. The unit comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
For safety, they come equipped with single-channel ABS
The JAWA has disc brakes on both the wheels, while the Forty Two has disc and drum brakes on the front and rear end, respectively. Both the bikes are also equipped with single-channel ABS for improved handling. The suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic hydraulic forks on the front side and twin shock absorbers on the rear end.
JAWA and Forty Two: Pricing and availability
In India, the JAWA starts at Rs. 1.77 lakh for the single-channel ABS model while the Forty Two carries a starting price-tag of Rs. 1.68 lakh for the single-channel ABS variant (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
