Jaguar F-Pace SVR listed on company's India website, launch imminent
Jaguar Land Rover, the British luxury car brand owned by Tata Group, is working to launch its performance-oriented SUV, the F-Pace SVR in India sometime soon. The flagship car, which made its debut at the 2018 New York Auto Show, has been listed on the company's India website, hinting at an imminent launch. Notably, select dealerships have also started accepting bookings for the SUV.
First, a look at the car
The F-Pace SVR features a compact yet appealing look featuring a big cascading grille with company's emblem, and large air diffusers on the front, side and rear bonnets. The car runs on 21-inch alloy wheels and houses a quad-exhaust system as well as a roof-mounted spoiler and a shark-fin antenna. Besides that, it also gets an all-LED setup for lighting.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the F-Pace SVR gets a five-seater cabin featuring leather upholstery with SVR embossment as well as a SVR-specific three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel and aluminum paddle shifters. The car houses a fully-digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment panel with connectivity features. In addition, it also offers driver and passenger airbags, ABS with EBD, and several other driver-assist features for improved road handling.
The car can do a 0-100kmph sprint in 4.3 seconds
The F-Pace SVR draws power from a 5.0-liter Supercharged V8 engine which is capable of producing 542bhp of power and a mammoth 680Nm of peak torque. This unit comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with a SportShift Selector. Also, the performance-oriented SUV promises a top-speed of 283kmph and can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 4.3 seconds.
Finally, how much will it cost?
As of now, there is no word on the pricing of Jaguar F-Pace SVR in India. However, considering that it will be positioned above the F-Pace, which starts at Rs. 63 lakh, we expect the car to cost somewhere around Rs. 1 crore.
