Jaguar F-PACE SVR (facelift) spotted testing: What has changed?
Jaguar Land Rover is gearing up to launch the next-generation version of its performance-oriented car, the F-PACE SVR, by the end of this year. A heavily camouflaged test mule of the upcoming compact SUV has been spotted in Germany, giving us an idea of the updated looks. Here are more details.
How will it look like?
The facelifted Jaguar F-PACE SVR will be based on the same platform as the current-generation model. The car is likely to get a revised front fascia featuring new panels as well as grille, wider air inlets, and updated headlamps. It will come with angular-looking alloy wheels, a roof-mounted spoiler, and quad exhausts. Dimensions-wise, the car will remain the same as the outgoing variant.
Inside the cabin
Not much is known about the interiors of the F-PACE SVR as of now. However, quite the outgoing model, it will offer a five-seater cabin with leather upholstery and SVR-specific multifunctional steering wheel. The car will also get an updated instrument cluster as well as touchscreen infotainment with connectivity features. Further, it is likely to retain the safety features of the current-generation variant.
Power and performance
Under the hood, the new F-PACE SVR will reportedly draw power from a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. In the current state of tune, this motor churns out 550bhp of power and 680Nm of peak torque.
And, what about pricing and availability?
The 2020 Jaguar F-PACE range is likely to make its global debut sometime by the end of this year or in early-2021. There is no word on its pricing yet, but looking at the specifications, it is expected to be priced around Rs. 70 lakh. Once launched, the car will take on the likes of Porsche Macan and BMW X3.
