These limited-run special Jaguars are for rich and serious collectors
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the E-Type on March 15, Jaguar has unveiled a special 'E-Type 60 Collection' consisting of six coupes and six roadsters. These fully restored cars will be sold as a pair and are inspired by the models from the 1961 Geneva Motor Show. They also come with new features and run on a 3.8-liter XK engine. Here's our roundup.
The E-Type 60 Collection comes in two exclusive shades
The E-Type's coupe version has a 'Flat Out Grey' paint while the roadster counterpart is painted in a 'Drop Everything Green' shade. These color schemes are exclusive to the collection and cannot be ordered on any other Jaguar car. The special E-Type cars have an elongated bonnet, a chrome-finished grille, oval-shaped headlights, sleek taillights, two doors, a polished stainless steel exhaust, and wire-spoke wheels.
They run on a 265hp, 3.8-liter engine
Jaguar E-Type 60 Collection cars draw power from a 265hp, 3.8-liter, 6-cylinder, XK engine equipped with a 1961-style alloy radiator and an electric cooling fan. The mill is linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox with cast aluminium casing and synchromesh, helical-cut gears to boost durability.
The cars have a spacious cabin with updated tech
The E-Type 60 Collection coupes and roadsters have a Smooth Black leather/Suede Green cabin, featuring a refreshed center console with special engraving that takes more than 100 hours to finish. They have commemorative E-Type 60 logos and a beech-rimmed steering wheel with a 24-carat gold horn button. The cars also house a modern infotainment console with support for Bluetooth connectivity and satellite navigation.

The pricing details of the Jaguar E-Type 60 Collection have not been disclosed as of now. However, each of the six pairs is expected to be priced upwards of £630,000 (roughly Rs. 6.4 crore).
