US-based Indian Motorcycle has taken the covers off the premium Scout Bobber Sixty motorcycle. It arrives as a low-displacement and more affordable version of the company's Scout Bobber model. The cruiser packs a comparatively smaller engine and is 10kg lighter than the standard Bobber. According to ZigWheels, it is likely to be launched in India in "next four to five months."
A look at the Indian Scout Bobber Sixty
The Scout Bobber Sixty takes its styling inspiration from the more powerful Scout Bobber. It sports an eye-catching look with a naked-street design, a single-piece seat, and dual exhausts. The motorcycle houses a digital-analog instrument console, as well as rounded LED headlamps and turn indicators. Moreover, it has a wheelbase of 1,576mm and a fuel tank capacity of 12.5 liter.
Power and performance
The Scout Bobber Sixty is fueled by a 999cc liquid-cooled V-Twin engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It is capable of producing 78PS of maximum power and 88Nm of peak torque, which is 22PS and 9.7Nm less than its elder sibling, the Scout Bobber.
What about safety and suspension setup?
On the safety front, the Indian Scout Bobber Sixty comes equipped with disc brakes on both the wheels, along with dual-channel ABS for better grip on the road. The motorcycle houses conventional 41mm telescopic forks on the front and a dual-shock unit on the rear to handle the suspension duties.
Finally, how much will it cost?
Indian Motorcycle is likely to bring the Scout Bobber Sixty to our shores in the next four to five months. As for the pocket-pinch, the motorcycle is expected to be priced around Rs. 12 lakh in the country.
