Hyundai STARIA MPV, with futuristic looks and spacious cabin, revealed
As a replacement to the Starex MPV sold in the international markets, South Korean automaker Hyundai has revealed its STARIA model. The vehicle has an eye-catching design and a spacious cabin with up to 11 seats as well as a host of features. However, the details pertaining to its powertrain are yet to be revealed. The MPV sports a large mesh grille
The Hyundai STARIA has a sloping roofline, a broad grille with a chrome mesh pattern, rectangular LED headlights, and a short bonnet with a full-width LED DRL. On the sides, it is flanked by large windows, ORVMs, and designer wheels. "STARIA" lettering, a roof-mounted spoiler, and vertically-positioned LED taillights are available on the rear end of the vehicle.
It should be available with petrol and diesel engine options
Hyundai is yet to reveal the powertrain details of the STARIA MPV. However, based on the market where it will be on offer, it should be available with a choice of petrol as well as diesel engines.
The vehicle has a spacious and tech-loaded cabin
Hyundai STARIA has a dual-tone cabin with up to 11 seats, a multi-layered dashboard, captain's seats with recline function in the middle row, and push-button shift control. It also houses a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment console with support for Blue Link. On the safety front, it has multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, and parking sensors.
Hyundai STARIA: Pricing and availability
The pricing and availability details of the Hyundai STARIA will be revealed at the time of launch later this year. However, it should carry a premium over the outgoing Starex, which costs ZAR 592,500 (approximately Rs. 30 lakh) in South Africa.
