Prior to its unveiling in the coming weeks, South Korean automaker Hyundai has officially previewed its KONA N performance SUV. The pictures suggest that the car will have an aggressive look, featuring red accents, a rear diffuser with twin exhaust tips, and an F1-style triangular brake lamp. The car will sport a muscular bonnet with air vents
The Hyundai Kona N will feature a sloping roofline, a muscular bonnet with vents, a blacked-out mesh grille, a wide air dam, and sleek headlights. It will be flanked by roof rails, blacked-out B-pillars, ORVMs, and sporty wheels. An aggressive diffuser with two exhaust tips, a spoiler, an F1-style triangular brake light, and wrap-around taillights will be available on the rear end.
It will run on a 275hp, 2.0-liter petrol engine
The Hyundai KONA N performance SUV will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged, inline-four petrol engine linked to an 8-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The mill will generate 275hp of maximum power.
The vehicle should have a spacious and tech-forward cabin
The Hyundai KONA N should have a spacious cabin with aggressively bolstered seats, multiple 'N' badges, and a leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel. It should pack a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with support for navigation and Blue Link connected car technology. Multiple airbags, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), and Lane Following Assist (LFA) should ensure the safety of the passengers.
Hyundai KONA N: Pricing and availability
The Hyundai KONA N will be unveiled within the next few weeks and should make its way to the US by the end of 2021. As for the pocket-pinch, it should carry a starting price-tag of around $33,255 (approximately Rs. 24 lakh).
