1.21 lakh units of 2020 Hyundai Creta sold in India
Hyundai has sold over 1.21 lakh units of the second-generation Creta SUV in India since its launch last March. As per the company, 51% of the buyers opted for SX and SX(O) trims. The diesel-powered variants emerged as favorites, selling over 72,600 units. The company has also stated that over 2.16 lakh units of the Creta have been exported from India to other markets.
The SUV has an all-LED lighting setup
The 2020 Hyundai Creta features a cascading grille, a muscular bonnet, silvered skid plates, a rear spoiler, an integrated antenna, and a rear window washer as well as a defogger. For lighting, it houses adjustable LED headlights, fog lights, LED DRLs, and LED taillights. On the sides, the SUV is flanked by roof rails, indicator-mounted ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Six airbags ensure safety
The Hyundai Creta offers a 5-seater cabin with leather seats, power windows, an adjustable steering wheel, automatic climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. It also packs eight speakers and a 10.24-inch touchscreen infotainment console with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For safety, there are six airbags, 'Follow Me Home' headlamps, an emergency stop signal, and a rear-view camera.
It is available with three engine choices
The Hyundai Creta is offered with three BS6-compliant engine options, including a 1.5-liter diesel motor that makes 113.4hp/250Nm, a 1.5-liter petrol unit that produces 113.4hp/144Nm, and a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol mill which generates 138hp/242Nm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter, a CVT, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Hyundai Creta: Pricing and availability
In India, Hyundai Creta starts at Rs. 9.99 lakh and goes up to Rs. 17.53 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). Separately, the company is also working to introduce a 7-seater ALCAZAR model here which could be announced on April 6.
