Hyundai CRETA to get a 'Knight Edition' in India
South Korean automaker Hyundai will introduce a Knight Edition variant of its CRETA SUV in India in the coming weeks. It will be based on the S, S+, and SX(O) trims. As for the highlights, the model will flaunt cosmetic changes both inside and out. It will be available with a choice of petrol as well as diesel engines.
Why does this story matter?
The Hyundai Creta Knight Edition will offer better looks as compared to the standard model and will introduce iMT transmission to the car's variant line-up. Many customers in India should be interested in adding this vehicle to their garage. The four-wheeler should be priced competitively and will raise the rivalry in the SUV segment in the country.
The car will flaunt a black grille and LED headlights
Hyundai CRETA Knight Edition will sport a blacked-out radiator grille with red inserts, and a gloss black finish on the skid plates, roof rails, ORVMs, side sills, and C-pillars. It will have dark metal-colored alloy wheels, brake calipers at the front finished in red, and a "Knight Edition" emblem on the tailgate. For lighting, LED headlights with DRLs and LED taillamps will be offered.
Three engine choices will be offered
Hyundai CRETA Knight Edition will run on a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engine (138hp/242Nm), a 1.5-liter petrol mill (113.4hp/144Nm), and a 1.5-liter diesel unit (113.4hp/250Nm). Transmission duties will be handled by a 6-speed manual/automatic, an iVT, a 7-speed DCT, and an iMT gearbox.
The SUV will get a glossy black center console
Hyundai CRETA Knight Edition will have a blacked-out 5-seater cabin with a glossy black center console, AC vents with colored inserts, and colored stitching/piping on the seats as well as the steering wheel. It will house a 10.24-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Six airbags, ABS, traction control, and an engine immobilizer will ensure the passengers' safety.
