Husqvarna India opens bookings for the quarter-liter Svartpilen and Vitpilen
KTM-owned Husqvarna has officially started accepting bookings for the Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 motorcycles in India. The quarter-liter motorcycles, which were launched in the country at an introductory price of Rs. 1.80 lakh, can be pre-booked via KTM dealerships at a token amount ranging from Rs. 1,000-5,000. A look at both the motorcycles
Both Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 share same underpinnings but differ from each other in terms of styling. The former comes with a street scrambler look, while the latter features an attractive cafe racer design. Apart from that, both the quarter-liter motorcycles house a fully-digital instrument console and get all-LED fitments for headlights, turn indicators, and taillights.
Power and performance
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 motorcycles are powered by a BS6-compliant 248.76cc liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine that comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The unit is capable of producing 30PS of maximum power and 24Nm of peak torque.
What about safety and suspension setup?
In the safety department, both Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 come equipped with disc brakes on both the ends, along with dual-channel ABS for better grip on the road. The suspension duties on the motorcycles are taken care of by WP upside-down forks on the front and a mono-shock absorber on the rear.
