Honda showcases three new electric cars under 'Ye' EV series
Honda has introduced the "Ye Series," a brand-new lineup of electric vehicles (EVs) set to debut in the Chinese market. This unveiling includes the global premiere of the inaugural models, Ye P7 and Ye S7, alongside the concept model for the upcoming Ye GT Concept. Honda aims to release a total of six Ye Series models in China by 2027. The newly revealed trio is slated for display at the 18th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition later this month.
Ye Series models feature new EV platform
The Ye P7 and Ye S7 models are built on a newly developed EV platform. This platform offers both single-motor, rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor, all-wheel-drive configurations. Honda has engineered rear-wheel-drive models "to offer sporty and crisp handling," while all-wheel-drive versions are designed for "high power and highly responsive handling." The cabin offers good space along with a "sense of intelligence," allowing the changing of LED light patterns on the instrument panel and door panels.
Honda plans future models based on Ye GT Concept
Honda also has plans to introduce future production models based on the Ye GT Concept. The GT model is designed "to provide the ultimate driving experience" and will feature a large screen for the front seat passenger, marking a first for Honda. As part of the second set of the Ye Series EV, production models based on the Ye GT Concept will go on sale before the end of 2025.
