Prior to global debut, patent images of Honda HR-V leaked
Japanese automaker Honda's HR-V SUV is expected to make its global debut this month. In the latest development, the patent images of the upcoming car have been leaked, revealing key design highlights. As per the pictures, the four-wheeler will have a boxy look, a sloping roofline, and a hexagonal grille flanked on the sides by sleek LED headlights, among other features. Here's our roundup.

The Honda HR-V will have a boxy silhouette and shall come with a sloping roofline, a large hexagonal grille, sleek LED headlamps with DRLs, and a wide air dam. It will be flanked by B-pillars, ORVMs, prominent character lines, flared wheel arches, and alloy wheels. A raked windscreen and split LED taillights connected by an LED strip will be there on the rear.
Power and performance
The Honda HR-V is expected to draw power from a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine linked with a mild-hybrid powertrain. However, in India, the car is likely to use the 1.5-liter petrol and diesel mills that the 5th-generation Honda City runs on.
A peek inside the cabin
The Honda HR-V will have a spacious cabin with multi-zone climate control, a wireless smartphone charger, ambient lighting, and a multifunctional power steering wheel. It will pack a fully digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment console with support for connected car technology. For ensuring the passengers' safety, multiple airbags, crash sensors, and a rear-view camera should be available.
What about the pricing?
Details related to the pricing and availability of the Honda HR-V will be revealed at the launch event this month. However, in India, it is expected to come with a price tag of around Rs. 14 lakh.
