Honda Hawk11 cafe racer, with sporty looks, goes official
Japanese automaker Honda has unveiled the Hawk11 bike at the Osaka Motorcycle Show in its home country. It is unclear whether it will be introduced in India. As for the highlights, the vehicle bears a neo-retro look and gets a lengthy upswept exhaust as well as Bluetooth connectivity. It is fueled by a 1,100cc parallel-twin engine sourced from the Africa Twin.
Why does this story matter?
After the CRF1100L Africa Twin, NT1100, and the Rebel 1100, the Hawk11 is Honda's fourth motorbike to be powered by a 1,100cc, parallel-twin mill. It serves as a replacement for the recently discontinued CB1100. It offers decent looks as well as performance. A lot of buyers should be interested in getting their hands on this vehicle.
The motorcycle has heated grips and round mirrors
The Honda Hawk11 cafe racer has a muscular fuel tank, a single-piece seat, bubble-type fairings, low-set handlebars, heated grips, circular mirrors, and a compact windshield. The motorbike packs an LED headlamp with DRLs, a Bluetooth-enabled touchscreen infotainment console with support for smartphone connectivity, and designer wheels. It sits on a semi-double-cradle steel frame and sports a gloss blue shade.
It runs on a 99hp, 1,100cc engine
The Honda Hawk11 draws power from a 1,082.96cc, liquid-cooled engine mated to a manual or DCT gearbox. The mill generates a maximum power of 98.6hp at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 103Nm at 6,000rpm.
It gets inverted front forks
To ensure the safety of the rider, the Honda Hawk11 is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS, cruise control, and wheelie control for better handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the motorbike are taken care of by inverted forks on the front side and a mono-shock unit on the rear end.
