Honda to launch Forza 300 scooter in India this year
Honda, is set to hit the Indian roads this year itself. The Japanese automaker has confirmed that it would bring the BS6-ready scooter in the country via CKD (completely knocked-down) route. Notably, the company had previously sold four units of the BS4 variant of the scooter in the country to gauge public response.
A look at the Honda Forza 300
The Forza 300 gets a spectacular design featuring a beefy-looking front apron with mounted LED headlights as well as turn indicators, a power-adjustable windscreen, a stepped-up seat, and a rear-mounted pannier. The scooter gets a semi-digital instrument cluster, blacked-out alloy wheels, and an angular-looking side profile. Moreover, it has a fuel tank capacity of 11.5 liters and a ground clearance of 135mm.
Power and performance
The Honda Forza 300 will draw power from the same 279cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine as the existing model, but the company will update this unit to comply with the stricter BS6 norms. In the BS4 guise, the aforementioned mill churns out 25PS of maximum power and 27Nm of peak torque. Moreover, the scooter promises a mileage of 31kmpl.
What about safety and suspension setup?
In terms of safety, the Honda Forza 300 comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear ends, along with dual-channel ABS and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for improved road handling. The suspension duties on the scooter are taken care of by telescopic forks up front and a dual-shock unit on the rear.
And, how much will it cost?
Understandably, with its impeccable design, powerful engine, and advanced safety equipments, the Honda Forza 300 won't come cheap. Going by the reports, it is likely to come at a starting price of around Rs. 2.5 lakh in the country.
