Honda CB500X bike launched in India at Rs. 6.87 lakh
Japanese automaker Honda has launched its CB500X adventure tourer in India. It can be booked via the company's BigWing dealerships across the country. As for the highlights, the motorcycle has a sporty look and comes with many electronic riding aids. It draws power from a BS6-compliant 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engine linked to a 6-speed gearbox. Here are more details.
The bike is available in two colors
The Honda CB500X has an eye-catching semi-faired design, featuring a sloping fuel tank, a single-piece seat, an upswept exhaust, and a transparent windscreen. The bike packs an LCD instrument console, a full-LED setup for lighting, and rides on blacked-out alloy wheels. It is up for grabs in two color options: Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.
It runs on a 47hp, 471cc engine
The Honda CB500X draws power from a BS6-compliant 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engine that generates 47hp of power at 8,500rpm and 43.2Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The mill is linked to a 6-speed gearbox along with an assist and slipper clutch.
Disc brakes on both the wheels ensure safety
To ensure the rider's safety, the Honda CB500X is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS, an emergency stop signal, and Honda Ignition Security System. Suspension duties on the bike are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and a mono-shock unit with adjustable preload on the rear end.

The Honda CB500X is being brought to India as a completely knocked down (CKD) unit and carries a price-tag of Rs. 6,87,386 (ex-showroom). At this price-point, it goes against rivals such as Kawasaki Versys 650, Benelli TRK 502, and the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT.
