Special edition Hero Xtreme 160R launched at Rs. 1.08 lakh
To celebrate its 100 millionth production milestone, Hero MotoCorp has launched a '100 Million Edition' of its Xtreme 160R bike in India. The two-wheeler sports a dual-tone red and white paintwork which is visible on the headlight mask, fuel tank, as well as the rear panel. However, in terms of features and specifications, it is identical to the standard model. Here's our roundup.
The bike has a full-LED lighting setup
The Hero Xtreme 160R 100 Million Edition sits on a tubular diamond frame and has a naked sporty design. It features a sloping fuel tank with extensions, a stepped-up seat, a side stand engine cut-off switch, a hazard switch, and a slightly upswept exhaust. The bike packs a digital instrument console, an all-LED setup for lighting, and rides on blacked-out alloy wheels.
It runs on a 15hp, 163cc engine
The Hero Xtreme 160R 100 Million Edition draws power from a BS6-compliant 163cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The mill generates 15hp of maximum power and 14Nm of peak torque.
Disc brakes on both the wheels ensure safety
To ensure the rider's safety, the Hero Xtreme 160R 100 Million Edition is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with single-channel ABS for improved handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and a 7-step rider-adjustable mono-shock unit on the rear end.
