Harley-Davidson launches Low Rider S at Rs. 14.69 lakh
Harley-Davidson has launched its premium cruiser, the Low Rider S, in India at Rs. 14.69 lakh. The motorcycle looks largely similar to the standard Softail Low Rider model, but comes with a single-seat configuration and a special blacked-out theme instead of the regular chrome fitments. Here are more details about the beast.
A look at the Low Rider S
The Harley-Davidson Low Rider S comes with an old-school design, featuring retro-styled elements like a rounded headlamp, circular mirrors as well as indicators, and an exposed engine. The motorcycle sports a single-piece seat and gets a blacked-out treatment on the dual exhausts and alloy wheels. Moreover, it is offered in two color options: Vivid Black and Barracuda Silver.
Power and performance
The Harley-Davidson Low Rider S is powered by a 1,745cc Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine that comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This motor is capable of producing 87hp of maximum power at 5,020rpm and 145Nm of peak torque at 3,000rpm.
What about safety and suspension setup?
In the safety department, the Harley-Davidson Low Rider S comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS as standard for improved braking efficiency. The suspension duties on the cruiser are taken care of by 43mm upside-down forks up front and a mono-shock unit on the rear.
Finally, what is the pocket-pinch?
As far as pocket-pinch is concerned, the Vivid Black color variant of the Harley-Davidson is priced at Rs. 14.69 lakh in India. However, the company is yet to reveal the prices of the Barracuda Silver color option.
