Harley-Davidson LiveWire likely to launch in India on August 27
US-based Harley-Davidson is working to launch its first electric motorcycle, the LiveWire, in India. The company has shared a signature shield logo with electrified waveforms and a date, hinting the arrival of the all-new electric bike on 27th August. The Harley-Davidson LiveWire features naked look with a dual-tone paint job, bulbous headlamps, and a blacked-out treatment on mirrors and alloy wheels. As for electronic features, the motorcycle houses a 4.3-inch touchscreen tilt-adjustable TFT panel and an all-LED setup for lighting. Further, the motorcycle offers smartphone connectivity via HD app through which rider can listen to music, answer calls, and hear turn-by-turn navigation instructions.
Under the hood
The LiveWire is powered by a 15.5kWh battery which churns out 105hp of power and 116Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle promises a range of 225km on a single charge and can do 0-100kmph in 3 seconds. Further, the battery can be fully charged in 12.5 hours by a Level 1 charger, while the Level 3 charger can quickly refuel it in an hour.
Harley-Davidson LiveWire: On the road
For braking performance, the LiveWire comes equipped with Brembo-sourced disc brakes on both wheels along with dual-channel ABS, six-axis IMU, and traction control for better road handling. Further, the motorcycle houses Showa's fully adjustable telescopic fork suspension on the front side along with a monoshock unit on the rear to handle suspension duties.

As for the pocket pinch, the Harley-Davidson LiveWire is priced at $ 29,799 (approximately Rs. 21 lakh) in the American market. Hence, we expect the motorcycle to arrive at a similar price in India.
