Japanese automaker Nissan has showcased its fourth-generation X-Trail SUV at the Shanghai Auto Show 2021. It will also be launched in India. The four-wheeler is based on the CMF-C platform shared with Mitsubishi and Renault and exhibits an aggressive look. The vehicle has a cabin with 5- and 7-seat layouts and runs on an ePower hybrid powertrain. Here are more details.
The car has a V-shaped grille
The fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail has a sporty design, featuring a muscular bonnet, a V-shaped blacked-out grille surrounded by chrome, sleek headlights, inverted L-shaped DRLs, a wide air dam, and a silvered skid plate. It is flanked by roof rails, blacked-out B-pillars, ORVMs, and multi-spoke wheels. A window wiper and wrap-around taillights are available on the rear end of the vehicle.
It runs on an ePower powertrain
The fourth-generation X-Trail draws power from an ePower hybrid powertrain whose configuration has not been revealed. However, in the Qashqai, the 191hp unit comprises a 1.5-liter petrol engine paired to a front-mounted electric motor. The X-Trail shall be offered with an all-wheel-drive variant.
The vehicle has a cabin with up to 7 seats
The fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail has a spacious 5/7-seater cabin with a folding third row of seats, wireless charging, a flat-bottom multifunctional steering wheel, and several driver assistance functions. It houses a large digital infotainment console with support for the latest connectivity features. For ensuring the safety of the passengers, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rear-view camera are available.
