Ford rejigs variants of Figo, Aspire, and Freestyle in India
American automaker Ford has rejigged the variants of its Figo, Freestyle, and Aspire cars in India. Some of the lower trims in the line-up have been axed and now the three vehicles are up for grabs in two to three trims each. However, none of them are now available with automatic gearboxes for handling transmission duties. Here's our roundup.

Ford Figo (diesel) hatchback is available in Titanium and Titanium Blu variants, while the petrol-powered model is offered in Ambiente, Titanium, and Titanium Blu trims. The Aspire compact sedan is up for grabs in Titanium and Titanium+ variants, while the Freestyle, which is a crossover version of the Figo, is available in Titanium, Titanium+, and Flair trims.
Ford Figo: Price starts at Rs. 5.64 lakh
The Ford Figo sports a sloping roofline, a cascading grille, a wide air dam, sleek halogen headlamps, and 15-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there is a 5-seater cabin with fabric upholstery, auto climate control, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment console, and six airbags. It gets two BS6-compliant engine choices- a 1.2-liter petrol mill that makes 95hp/119Nm, and a 1.5-liter diesel motor that generates 99hp/215Nm.
Ford Freestyle: Price begins at Rs. 7.09 lakh
Ford Freestyle has a blacked-out grille, roof rails, adjustable headlights, wrap-around taillamps, and 15-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there are five seats, fabric upholstery, six airbags, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment panel. The car gets a BS6-compliant 1.2-liter petrol engine that generates 95hp/119Nm and a 1.5-liter diesel mill that makes 99hp/215Nm. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox.
