Ford EcoSport's SE variant launched at Rs. 10.5 lakh
Ford has launched the SE variant of its EcoSport SUV in India at a starting price of Rs. 10.49 lakh. As for the highlights, it comes with a new tail-gate design, a sunroof, but misses out on the rear-mounted spare wheel available on the standard variant. Under the hood, the EcoSport SE is offered with a choice of BS6-compliant petrol and diesel engines.
The car sports a large blacked-out grille
The Ford EcoSport SE has a sporty look, featuring a sloping roofline, a muscular bonnet, a blacked-out grille, a wide air dam, and sleek halogen headlights with LED DRLs. It is flanked by roof rails, blacked-out B-pillars, ORVMs, and 16-inch alloy wheels. On the rear, wrap-around taillights, a faux skid plate, and a chrome-garnished number plate recess are available.
Power and performance
The Ford EcoSport SE is offered with two BS6-compliant engine choices: a 1.5-liter petrol mill that makes 121hp/149Nm, and a 1.5-liter diesel motor that churns out 99hp/215Nm. Transmission duties on the car are taken care of by a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The vehicle has a spacious 5-seater cabin
The Ford EcoSport SE has a spacious 5-seater cabin with a sunroof, auto climate control, fabric upholstery, rear parking sensors, and a multifunctional steering wheel. It houses a 9.0-inch touchscreen SYNC 3 infotainment console with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. To ensure the passengers' safety, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, crash sensors, and a rear-view camera are available.
