Ferrari SP-8 breaks cover as one-off supercar with 3D-printed grille
What's the story
Ferrari's Special Projects division has crafted a unique, roofless supercar named the SP-8, commissioned by a wealthy Taiwanese client.
The vehicle is built on the F8 Spider, but with the electrically retractable hardtop removed, resulting in a genuine roadster with no roof.
The SP-8 sports a matte Argento Micalizzato paint scheme, complemented by glossy iridescent Blue Sandstone carbon fiber sections.

Exterior design elements inspired by classic models
The SP-8 showcases several exclusive design features, such as new headlights with distinctive masks and lenses, taillights influenced by Roma's rear lights, and a windscreen and exhaust tips borrowed from the 296 GTB.
Additionally, the car is equipped with five-spoke alloy wheels in a matte gray finish, reminiscent of the F40's wheel design.
A broad, 3D-printed aluminum front grille with vertical strakes and longitudinal strakes on the engine cover pay tribute to iconic models like the Testarossa.

Interior changes and performance specifications
Inside the SP-8, Ferrari has incorporated a unique gear selector that harkens back to gated shifters from previous models.
The cabin combines laser-etched Navy Blue Alcantara with cloth, while the carpets are crafted from twill fabric featuring an iridescent effect.
The mid-mounted V8 engine remains unaltered, generating 710hp of power and 770Nm of torque. The SP-8 is currently showcased at Italy's Mugello circuit and will later be displayed at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello from November 16 until March 2024.
