Gurugram-based EV start-up Rissala Electric Motors has showcased its fully-electric sports bike, the Evolet Hawk, at the ongoing Auto Expo in Greater Noida. The sports tourer has a claimed top speed of 120kmph and promises a range of 100km on a single charge. The e-bike is expected to be launched in the country within the next 3-4 months. Here are more details.
The e-bike gets a fully-faired sporty design, modern features
The all-electric Evolet Hawk offers an attractive fully-faired design featuring a muscular-looking dummy fuel tank, clip-on handlebars, a tall windshield, and all-LED fitments for lighting. The motorcycle also comes equipped with 17-inch wheels and tubeless tires. Besides that, it gets a fully-digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity via Evolet mobile application, geo-fencing for anti-theft provisions, turn-by-turn navigation, and over-the-air updates.
How much range and speed it offers?
Under the hood, the Evolet Hawk packs an electric motor that draws power from a 72V 40Ah Lithium-ion battery which can be fueled up in around 3-4 hours using a fast charger. The fully-electric motorcycle has a claimed range of 100km on a single charge, and it promises a top speed of 120kmph.
What about safety and suspension setup?
The braking duties on the Evolet Hawk are taken care of by twin disc brake on the front, a single calliper on the rear, along with single-channel ABS to avoid skidding while braking. The fully-electric sports tourer houses conventional telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock absorber on the rear to handle suspension duties.
And, when will it be launched?
Rissala Electric Motors is likely to launch the fully-faired sports tourer in the country in the next 3-4 months. It is expected to arrive at a price of around Rs. 1 lakh and take on the likes of Revolt RV400 and Ather 450X.
