2025 Ducati Multistrada V4 range unveiled: Check what's new
Ducati has introduced its 2025 Multistrada V4 range, continuing to lead the flagship ADV segment since its global debut in 2003. The latest models showcase refined features and enhancements that build on the bike's existing strengths. Aesthetically, the 2025 models closely resemble their predecessors with a few notable changes including new paint schemes, a more aggressive front fascia with updated LED lights inspired by Panigale, and a sleeker exhaust for a cleaner look at the rear.
Pikes Peak model features Akrapovic titanium silencer
The Pikes Peak model of the 2025 Multistrada V4 range comes standard with an Akrapovic titanium silencer. This model is available in three color options: red, white, and black. However, the latter two colors are exclusive to the higher-spec S variant. The engine specifications remain consistent with a liquid-cooled 1,158cc V4 Granturismo mill that delivers 170hp at 10,750rpm and 124Nm of torque at 9,000rpm.
2025 Multistrada V4 introduces Ducati Vehicle Observer system
The 2025 Multistrada V4 introduces a new Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) system that manages cornering ABS, and traction as well as wheelie control systems. The DVO system uses an algorithm to process data from 70 different sensors to estimate the forces on the bike and loads from varying road conditions, adjusting electronic inputs accordingly. This advanced technology is a product of Ducati's extensive experience in MotoGP racing.
Ride modes and engine braking control system
The Multi V4 and V4 S models now offer five ride modes, including a new 'Wet' mode specifically designed for rainy conditions. Ducati has also recalibrated the 'Enduro' mode to improve its off-road performance. The Pikes Peak variant introduces an additional 'Race' mode due to its sportier nature. A significant addition across all 2025 Multistrada V4 models is a three-level engine braking control system, first seen on the Rally model.
Enhancements in cylinder deactivation and fuel efficiency
The 2025 Multistrada V4 models feature an improved cylinder deactivation system that operates when the bike is stationary or traveling at low speed. This enhancement increases fuel efficiency by approximately 6% and assists in heat management. The rear cylinder bank reactivates when there is a significant power request from the rider, ensuring optimal performance under varying riding conditions.
Auto ride height reduction function and collision warning
The auto ride height reduction function in the 2025 Multistrada V4 models has been upgraded. It now allows for automatic lowering of the bike's height at speeds below 10km/h. This feature is exclusive to the Skyhook-equipped 'S' variant. The Multistrada V4 S continues with its front and rear radar system but now includes a new forward collision warning function, which displays a warning on the TFT screen if it detects a potential collision ahead.
Chassis design and suspension updates
The chassis design of the 2025 Multistrada V4 models remains largely unchanged from 2024, still featuring an aluminium monocoque frame and a new double-sided swingarm for the V4 and V4 S. However, Ducati has made a minor adjustment to the swingarm pivot, raising it by 1mm to enhance the anti-squat effect of the suspension. The Pikes Peak version retains its single-sided swingarm, emphasizing its sport-oriented nature.
