Ducati Scrambler Nightshift and Desert Sled bikes launched in India
As an addition to its Scrambler range, Italian automaker Ducati has launched the Nightshift and Desert Sled motorcycles in India. Their bookings are open and there is no waiting period for deliveries. The bikes have a sporty design, a full-LED setup for lighting, and draw power from a BS6-compliant 803cc, L-twin engine linked to a 6-speed gearbox. Here are more details.
The bikes have an all-LED setup for lighting
The Ducati Scrambler Nightshift sits on a steel trellis frame and features a café racer-style flat seat, spoked wheels wrapped in Pirelli MT60 tires, and an 'Aviator Grey' paintwork. The Desert Sled sports a variable cross-section handlebar, 'Sparkling Blue' livery with red and white detailing, and golden rims. Both the bikes also offer a digital instrument console and a full-LED lighting setup.
They run on a 72hp, 803cc engine
Ducati Scrambler Nightshift and Desert Sled draw power from a BS6-compliant 803cc, L-twin engine which generates 72hp of power at 8,250rpm and a peak torque of 66.2Nm at 5,750rpm. Transmission duties on the bikes are handled by a 6-speed gearbox with a servo-assisted slipper facility.
Disc brakes on both the wheels ensure safety
To ensure the safety of the rider, the Ducati Scrambler Nightshift and Desert Sled are equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS for improved handling. Suspension duties on the former are managed by 41mm inverted front forks and a Kayaba mono-shock unit on the rear, while the Desert Sled comes with 46mm USD front forks.

In India, the BS6-compliant Ducati Scrambler Nightshift carries a price-tag of Rs. 9.8 lakh, while the off-road-friendly Scrambler Desert Sled sports a price-figure of Rs. 10.89 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).
