Italian automaker Ducati should launch the Pikes Peak edition of its Multistrada V4 motorcycle in the coming days. In the latest development, a test mule of the bike without camouflage has been found testing on the roads, revealing its key design details. The Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak will have an eye-catching design, featuring a sloping fuel tank, stepped-up seat, carbon fiber body panels, a sporty windscreen, an upswept exhaust, and attractive body graphics. The bike will pack a single-sided swingarm, a digital instrument console, an all-LED setup for lighting, and shall ride on 17-inch forged aluminum wheels.
It should run on a 170hp, 1,158cc engine
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak should draw power from a 1,158cc, 90-degree, V-layout, 4-cylinder engine that generates 170.3hp of maximum power at 10,000rpm and 125Nm of peak torque at 8,750rpm. The mill should be linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Disc brakes on both the wheels should ensure safety
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak should be equipped with disc brakes on both wheels along with cornering ABS, Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), and Ducati Traction Control (DTC). Suspension duties on the motorcycle should be taken care of by Ohlins forks on the front side and a TTX36 mono-shock unit on the rear end.
