Ducati Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour revealed: Details here
As an addition to its line-up of Multistrada adventure bikes, Italian automaker Ducati has unveiled the Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour motorcycle. The off-roader comes with minor design tweaks and a bunch of additional accessories that make it ideal for rough terrains. However, mechanically, it remains the same as the standard Multistrada 1260 S. Here's everything about it.
First, let's take a look at the motorcycle
The Grand Tour variant of the Multistrada 1260 sits on the same tubular steel trellis frame and features a similar naked street design with a beefy looking front apron, a tall windshield, 5-inch TFT display, and blacked-out alloy wheels with body-colored accents. However, the features like tire pressure monitoring system, LED fog lights, side panniers, and heated grips differentiate it from the standard model.
Power and performance
The Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour is powered by the same 1,262cc liquid-cooled, Ducati Testastretta DVT engine, which is capable of producing 158PS of power and 129.5Nm of peak torque. For transmission duties, it houses a 6-speed manual gearbox along with a bi-directional quickshifter.
And, what about the safety and suspension setup
On the braking front, the Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour comes equipped with disc brakes on both the wheels and dual-channel ABS. The bike also gets electronic riding aids including traction control, wheelie control, and cruise control. For suspension duties, it houses telescopic forks on the front and a monoshock unit on the rear, along with semi-active electronic suspension technology for improved damping control.
Finally, what is the pocket pinch
As of now, there is no official word on the pricing and availability of the Ducati Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour in India. However, according to some reports, it is likely to arrive in the country sometime around early 2020.
