Ducati honors F1 legend Ayrton Senna with limited-edition Monster bike
Ducati has unveiled a limited edition 'Monster Senna' motorcycle to mark the 30th death anniversary of Formula 1 icon, Ayrton Senna. The production of this special edition will be capped at 341 units, symbolizing Senna's three F1 World Titles and his 41 race victories. Interestingly, Senna was among the first owners of the original Ducati Monster 900 launched in 1993.
The motorcycle sports unique design elements
The Ducati Monster Senna boasts a distinctive color scheme consisting of yellow, green, and blue, inspired by the Brazilian national flag and Senna's racing helmets. The motorcycle features yellow wheel tags, brake calipers, and belly pan, a blue seat, and green accents throughout. Each unit will carry a numbered plaque on the handlebar, 'Senna' logos, and the phrase 'Racing is in my blood' inscribed at the rear.

The Ducati Monster Senna, weighing about 4kg less than the standard model, is equipped with premium components such as an adjustable Ohlins steering damper, forged aluminuum wheels, and carbon fiber mudguards and engine guards. The footpegs are made from billeted aluminium while both front and rear Ohlins suspensions are fully adjustable. The motorcycle retains the 937cc L-Twin liquid-cooled engine that delivers 110hp at 9,250rpm and has a peak torque output of 93Nm at 6,500rpm.
What about the pricing and availability?
The Ducati Senna Monster is priced at $25,000 in the US, equivalent to nearly ₹21 lakh. There might be a limited allocation of these exclusive bikes to India. Each purchaser will receive a specialized motorcycle cover as well.
Ducati's history of tributes to Senna
This isn't the first time Ducati has paid tribute to Senna. In 1994, they released a limited edition 'Senna 916,' all 300 units of which sold out immediately upon launch. The model was reproduced in 1997 and 1998 due to high demand. In 2014, Ducati commemorated the 20th anniversary of Senna's passing with a Panigale 1199 S Senna, manufacturing only 161 models.
