Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP debuts at ₹19 lakh: Check features
Ducati has expanded its product portfolio in India with the launch of the Hypermotard 950 SP. This new model, now available on Ducati's official website, is priced at ₹19.05 lakh, making it ₹3 lakh more expensive than its predecessor, the Hypermotard 950 RVE. The bike is equipped with several high-end components and features a unique design that sets it apart from other models in the range.
Hypermotard 950 SP: A look at the design
The Hypermotard 950 SP mirrors the design of its predecessor, the RVE, with a few unique elements. These include exclusive graphics and a distinctive design on its Marchesini wheels. The new model features lighter Marchesini forged wheels, resulting in a weight reduction of 2kg. However, without fuel, the bike still weighs 191kg and will exceed 200kg when its 14.5-liter fuel tank is full. The seat height is also slightly higher than that of the RVE model at 890mm.
Hypermotard 950 SP features a six-speed gearbox with a quickshifter
The Hypermotard 950 SP retains its powerful 937cc L-twin engine, which delivers an impressive output of 114hp and 96Nm. This engine is used across several Ducati models but is particularly aggressive in the Hypermotard range. The bike also features a six-speed gearbox with a quickshifter for seamless gear changes.
Hypermotard 950 SP boasts upgraded suspension hardware
The Hypermotard 950 SP is equipped with an upgraded Ohlins suspension at both ends, a significant improvement over the previous Marsocchi/Sachs setup. The Ohlins USD fork has been increased from 45mm to a larger 48mm unit, and wheel travel has been extended from 170mm to 185mm. Additionally, the Ohlins monoshock allows for greater wheel travel, increasing from 150mm to 175mm.
