Italian automaker Ducati is all set to launch Diavel 1260 in India tomorrow. Showcased at the 2018 EICMA show, the motorcycle comes with a bigger engine and has received a bunch of nifty updates in the form of design and features. In India, the Diavel 1260 is expected to arrive at a price of around Rs. 16 lakh. Here's our roundup.
Ducati Diavel 1260: At a glance
Ducati Diavel 1260 features a semi faired sporty look and sits on a tubular steel trellis frame. The motorcycle comes with a hexagonal headlamp, stepped seats, dual exhausts, and blacked-out 17-inch alloy wheels. Talking about electronic features, it sports a 3.5-inch TFT panel, keyless ignition, and an all-LED lighting setup for the headlamp, self-canceling indicators, and taillights.
Power and performance
The Ducati Diavel 1260 is powered by a 1,262cc liquid-cooled L-Twin DVT engine which churns out 158PS of power at 9,250rpm and 129Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. For transmission duties, it gets a six-speed manual gearbox and a bi-directional quick shifter. Furthermore, the motorcycle offers three riding modes: Sport, Touring and Urban.
Here's a look at the safety features
For braking duties, the Ducati Diavel 1260 comes equipped with Brembo-sourced 320mm disc brakes on the front and 265mm disc brakes on the rear wheels as well as dual-channel ABS. Moreover, the motorcycle gets a 50mm Ohlins' USD forks suspension on the front and a fully adjustable monoshock unit on the rear to handle suspension duties.
