Ducati to begin production of DesertX ADV soon: Details here
Italian automaker Ducati's DesertX adventure motorcycle will enter production at the brand's factory in Bologna soon. To recall, it broke cover in December last year. As for the highlights, the two-wheeler has a sporty look and offers a host of electronic riding aids, including engine brake control. It is fueled by a 937cc, L-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 110hp of power.

The Ducati DesertX offers good looks, lots of features, and great performance for a hefty price tag. It should snag quite a few buyers in India. The bike will be introduced on our shores in late 2022 and will raise the competition in the middleweight adventure tourer segment. It will take on rivals such as the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally.
The motorbike has a windscreen and spoked wheels
The Ducati DesertX has a muscular fuel tank with extensions, split-style seats with a pillion grab rail, an upswept exhaust, a bash plate, handguards, a twin-pod headlamp cluster, and a tall windscreen. The bike packs an all-LED setup for lighting, a Bluetooth-enabled 5.0-inch TFT instrument console, and spoked wheels shod in tubeless tires. It has a fuel storage capacity of 21 liters.
It runs on a 110hp, 937cc engine
The Ducati DesertX draws power from a 937cc, L-twin, liquid-cooled engine paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The mill generates a maximum power of 110hp at 9,250rpm and 92Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm.
It gets six riding modes
The Ducati DesertX is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with wheelie control, cruise control, engine brake control, cornering ABS, and traction control. Four power modes and six riding modes are also available. Suspension duties on the motorbike are handled by fully-adjustable inverted forks on the front side and a mono-shock unit on the rear end.
Ducati DesertX: Pricing and availability
The availability and pricing details of the Ducati DesertX in India will be disclosed at the time of its launch. However, the ADV is likely to sport a price figure of around Rs. 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
